In a Ceremony in the Museo del Bicentenario, Prof. Stefani received the 2018 Houssay Prize in Mathematics, Physics, Computation and Astronomy. The Houssay Award is the most important scientific national award granted by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. It is aimed at researchers under 45 who have developed most of their scientific activity in the country and who, in turn, stand out within their area of expertise, based on the production of new knowledge, discoveries of social impact, promotion of technological innovations oriented to the productive sector, and training of human resources. 
Prof. Stefani was honored to share the ceremony with the immunologist and entrepreneur Prof. Dr. Fernando Goldbaum (Premio Jorge Sábato) and the national pioneer of aerospace research Dr. Conrado Varotto (Premio Houssay Trayectoria)
