Starting in March 2022, Dr. Piotr Zdankowski has joined our group for a postdoctoral stay with a Research Fellowship of the National Agency for Scientific Exchange of Poland. The Research Fellowship programme aims to implement the Projects together with eminent foreign scientists and scientific teams as well as establish long-term relationship with foreign scientific teams.
Piotr holds a Ph.D. from the University of Dundee under supervision of prof. Jason R. Swedlow, where he was responsible for designing and building a STED microscope with adaptive optics. During that time, Piotr also spent 5 months at the Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour (CNCB) of the University of Oxford, working closely with the group of Prof. Martin Booth. After that, he took a postdoc position at the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, where he develop new techniques for label-free phase imaging.
During his stay in our group, Piotr will be trained on the new techniques of pulsed interleaved MINFLUX and RASTMIN, and contribute to implement adaptive optics for 3D MINFLUX and 3D RASTMIN.
Welcome Piotr and good luck!
