The iCANX talks is a wonderful initiative by Prof. Haixia (Alice) Zhang from Pekin University. Every Friday a new talk by top scientists from around the world.

This friday, it was the turn of Oscar Martinez, former Professor of the Physics Department, currently at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires.

Prof. Martinez was a pioneer in the control of ultrafast laser pulses, and founder of the Laboratory of Quantum Electrodynamics, a national reference lab for optics and photonics. Currently, Prof. Martinez works on developing image processing algorithms for super-resolution, which is the topic of his iCANX lecture:

“SUPPOSe you can see beyond the diffraction limit. And just processing a standard image”
