We received Prof. Joerg Enderlein from the University of Goettingen at CIBION to show him our labs and discuss current status and future trends of our many common interests, like single-molecule spectroscopy and super-resolution microscopy.
Prof. Enderlein is a world expert on single-molecule detection, electromagnetic manipulation of fluorescence states, and super-resolution microscopy schemes. With Prof. Stefani, they have known each other for about 20 years, sharing scientific interests and fruitful discussions, and mutually helping advance their research.
Currently, they work together on expanding RASTMIN to 3D using metal-induced energy transfer, among other ideas.
